Reminder to all too please have a look at the web site www.shopmorrisburg.ca and check out your business listing. Please contact me if you require any changes to the information on the site. Email: email@example.com , I am generally in the BIA office Monday– Wednesday – Friday, 9am – 4pm. Please give me a call (613)643-3013 or send an email if you need to see me to make sure I am in the office as I am often out and about in the plaza or visiting a member. I will come to you if that is more convenient.
We are excited about participating in South Dundas Chamber of Commerce Spring Trade Show April 22nd & 23rd. We will have a booth again this year to promote our member businesses. Please let me know if there is anything you would like us to have at the booth to represent your business.
We are ready for the long warm days and to welcome our neighbors and visitors alike to Downtown Morrisburg. Shortly we will be bringing out the picnic tables, umbrellas followed by getting the gardens, planters and hanging baskets all in place.
We will be all ready for the Morrisburg annual sidewalk/yard sale weekend on Saturday May 21st.
Our Farmers & Crafters Market will again be in operation Fridays and Saturdays and you may see some of our vendors with fresh produce out on other days of the week. We feel this is another way to bring attention to our existing businesses.
We are gearing up for the 18th Annual Antiquefest featuring Antiques and Collectables, July 16th & 17th with the Golden Gears Car Club coming in on Saturday for a Cruise In event on the East side of parking lot. Beer & Wine tasting, and loads of great vendors. Admission is free and we will here rain or shine.
Saturday August 20th is the date of our 2nd Annual Pork Fest…a celebration of all things PORK. We will have food of course, a beer tent, entertainment. Many community groups will be here with their own delicious pork creations as well as our fabulous local restaurants who will be featuring special pork delights. The day will get under way at 11am – 8pm rain or shine and admission is free.
I would like to remind you that we continue to promote Shop Local program whereby we remind consumers of the importance of shopping local and educate the public about how much local businesses give back to their communities. We will begin to run advertisements in “The Leader” newspaper monthly listing the many organizations and charities that our businesses support. The message is: “this support is possible because you shopped local”. Please send me the information about who you donated to by the end of April for inclusion in the May ad and at the end of each month thereafter to so we can include your business in our Ad.
